Metamorpho is built around the belief of discovering true authenticity

During a one-year process we navigate our students to take charge of their lives and to determine God’s purpose for their life.

We have a firm belief in equipping students to have outstanding metacognitive skills and teach them how to utilize their unique gifts to contribute meaningfully to society.

We wish to empower people between 18-23 years old to be the next generation of city changers and form part of a 25 year legacy.

Why Camps?

METAMORPHO ORIENTATION

This is our first camp and our first student experience. We introduce our students to the life-changing culture of Metamorpho. During this experience we guide our students to start their journey of Discovering Their True Authenticity.

GUNG HO

This is our team building camp. This Chinese word is defined as “working together”, which is exactly what you will be doing on this camp. We work with the basic understanding of teamwork as well as create reachable goals for your team. On Gung Ho you will realise how you form part of a team and also what gifts and skillset you can add.

HIKING TRAIL

We go on a hike of about 56 km between Sabie and Graskop. Over the course of this 4 day journey your character is put to the test and you are exposed the greatness of who God truly is. This is an exciting time where we focus on family and friendships sharing these moments together. Get your boots on, you do not want to miss this one.

HIGH ROPES

There comes a time in your life where you are challenged to face your fears, and this is where our high ropes come in. We have built our own high ropes course where exercises take place 12 meters up in the air. As you go through certain obstacles you are given the opportunity to work through emotional boundaries and address the fears in your life.

Metamorpho Leaders

Heinrich & Suné

van der Merwe

The visionary and joyful leaders of Metamorpho are none other than these legends. Heinrich did Meta in 2014 and soon after joined the team to later become our fearless leader of the institution. Heinrich truly has an incredible sense of leadership and wisdom, while Suné has a beautiful and sensitive spirit. Together Heinrich and Suné make a joyful and exciting team and keep guiding young people through a life-changing process. Both of then love their community and especially enjoys guiding other men and women into fullness. They are by far the most intense, interesting, and exiting members of the team. Combined, the experience they have of being part of the Metamorpho team is 17 years.

Myburgh

JP is a very adventurous, outgoing and softhearted person. He has a big heart for ministry but a bigger one for the next generation. His character is solid, straightforward, and he is steadfast with true justice, but can also be goofy. His passion is to see the people understanding their identity in Christ and that they will understand the love God has for them. His hobbies are gym, hunting, Golf and keeping fish as pets. 

Marcelle

Coetzee

Marcelle recently joined the Meta team. Her attributes to the team are mostly behind the scenes to assist with admin and logistics so that the leaders can give their full attention to the students. She loves being outdoors, being active, spending time with her husband, Fritz, and their 3 children. She is gentle, has a pure, honest love for people. Thrives on encouraging people and redirecting people on a path of healing and restoration so that they can thrive as human beings and give Jesus all the glory. She serves in the Kingdom of Light as a prophetic prayer warrior and a washer of feet.

She is not what you expect when you first meet her. She will protect you fiercely and always look for beauty in everyone she meets. Her goal is to help people discover their identity in the Kingdom of God. She always wants to guide people from brokenness into a healed relationship with themselves and God. Her passion is to nurse people mentally and physically. Her favorite hobbies are dancing and reading books.

Ruan is a caring and loving person. He likes to be on an adventure and live a life full of meaning and purpose. Equipping young people with truth is his passion. Knowing God and making Him known is what he lives for. He loves to be around the community and make memories with them.

Abigale is a passionate and caring young leader that loves Jesus with all of her heart, ready to serve in His kingdom. She loves to bring God’s joy, brightness and comfort into areas of uncertainty. She is bold and confident in who she is in Jesus and therefore she can bring God’s clarity and truth over others.

Driven to reach stagnant men, Alexandré is a Christ-centered leader dedicated to serving, teaching, and testifying to God’s truth. He is currently refining his management and teaching skills while pursuing a future in sport coaching, where he aims to guide men toward their true identity through the discipline of athletics and the strength of the Spirit. Relying on God as his defender and source of renewed strength, committed to a life of resilience, prayer, and growth.

Hanno is an ambitious leader passionate about creating environments that honor God and genuinely love people. He leads Meta Ventures, overseeing the expansion of the high ropes experience, the Meta Shop, and the Meta Market—spaces designed to foster growth, excellence, and meaningful community

Philip is a fascinating individual, known for his adventurous spirit and deep passion for connecting with people. His primary focus is serving others, not out of obligation, but because he sees it as a privilege. Firmly grounded in his identity in Christ, Philip exemplifies strong and compassionate leadership, always striving to understand and uplift those around him. He is dedicated to setting new standards and pursuing excellence in everything he does.

Devandt is a calm, disciplined, and servant-hearted student with a growing desire to lead through humility and love for others. He thrives in structured environments, leading quietly and faithfully behind the scenes, remaining adaptable in every season. Guided by purpose and personal growth, he seeks to serve people with gentleness while growing into a leader who reflects compassion, humility, and Christ-like character.

Jeandré carries an enthusiastic attitude that lights up every room, thriving on genuine connection. Always present and attentive, they listen with an open heart, making others feel seen, heard, and valued. Radical in his faith with Jesus, his life reflects deep conviction, love, and bold obedience. His warmth invites trust, and his joy in connecting with people turns every conversation into a meaningful exchange toward transformation.

Jethro is a young man with a passion for  seeking Christ daily and the younger generation. He really dreams to see the younger generation know that their identity and worth is rooted in Jesus Christ and to see them live out that truth daily. If you have anything football to talk about, he’s your guy. He’s a ball of energy always willing to bring that vibe and not shy of expressing himself, always laughing and always willing to help wherever he can. He is very hardworking, dedicated and always willing to learn something new. If you don’t catch him watching a football match then you might find him hanging out with friends.

Paulo is a young man who loves to connect with the younger generation and loves to  transform their lives thanks to god who works through him . For him It’s all about obedience and being obedient to what God says to him . He has this big desire to help the younger generation get back their identity with god and truly discover themself who god created them to be .  And I love to bring glory to God by using the talents he’s been given me . And I live by the quote: a wasted life is a life lived in fear.

Anzé is a young leader with a heart for people. She loves connecting with people and spending time doing things that bring joy into others lives. Her main goals are to show others Gods true love and live a life of full obedience. She is passionate about showing others the glory of God through her actions and the verse she lives is “We love because He loved us first”.

Jancke vd Merwe is deeply passionate about Jesus and loves Him with all of her heart. She chooses to live rooted in truth—God’s truth—and believes authenticity matters; that people should feel free to be real, honest, and down to earth. Her desire is to serve Jesus faithfully and to reflect His love in a way that is genuine, approachable, and real.

Luca, a passionate young woman who embodies luminous light. She loves thrifting, reading, and grooving to her own beat. With a heart full of kindness, she shares truth in a straightforward way. Adaptable and strong, she’s comforted by Psalms 94:19. Her name reflects her spirit – a bringer of light in all she does.

Innes loves climbing mountains and being outdoors! For him to stay sane, he has to go on frequent adventures with friends. His vision is to change communities and raise leaders to do the same. He loves serving at Metamorpho because the fruit of the process is young leaders being raised who are able to change their world! Innes has been with the team for 4 years and he plans on enhancing the management structures of Meta. PS. He loves Romans Pizza so much he can eat one and a half of their large pizzas! 

Lizomé is a devout follower of God, with a heart for His purpose and glory. As a God-loving adventurer, she navigates life’s journey with faith, trusting in His guidance and provision. She approaches each day with a heart full of joy and a mind full of wonder. Her strong will and unapologetic approach to life is rooted in her unwavering commitment to her faith. You can expect honesty, transparency, and a healthy dose of humor. When she’s not exploring new horizons or pushing boundaries, you can find her seeking God’s presence and wisdom. 

Duncan is a risk-taking, calculating, and engaging individual. He loves to explore the meaning behind everything and the motivations of the people around him. He loves to create and innovate. He strives to put others above himself and to glorify God in everything he does.
